Strong Pace, Stronger Spirit – Bera Akbaba Shines at GK4 Mariembourg Round 4
The fourth round of the GK4 Kart Series in Mariembourg delivered everything a racing weekend should: close battles, changing track conditions, and fierce competition in the Mini Rookie category. For Bera Akbaba, the young Turkish talent racing with WJS Racing, it was a weekend full of speed, resilience, and promising performance—once again proving that he is rapidly becoming one of the standout rookies of the season.

Qualifying – P6 with Top-5 Pace
Bera started the weekend strong, securing P6 in qualifying with a best lap of 1:02.616, just 0.368 seconds off pole.
This put him right in the mix with the frontrunners, showing that his raw pace is consistently improving.

Heat 1 – Fighting Through the Pack
Heat 1 featured tight racing throughout the midfield. Bera delivered a clean and smart race, finishing P6 after 10 laps, maintaining strong pace with a best lap of 1:02.831.
Despite intense pressure from behind and heavy traffic, he managed his race with maturity.

Heat 2 – Another Top-5 Drive
The second heat was one of Bera’s best performances of the day. After a good start and consistent lap times, he crossed the line in P5, matching the pace of the front group at times. His best lap of 1:03.105 showed strong race consistency and adaptability as track conditions became slightly warmer and more slippery.
This heat was crucial for securing a strong starting position in the final.

The Final – Fighting with the Best
The final delivered the toughest racing of the day, with the top 10 drivers running nose-to-tail for most of the 11 laps.
Bera finished in P5, completing another impressive race where he stayed within striking distance of the podium battle. His best lap, 1:02.898, proved once again that he belongs at the front.
