GK4 Karting Series Round 3

Bera Akbaba Back on the Podium!

The GK4 Karting Series continued at the technical Kerpen circuit (1.107 km) in Germany, where the Mini Rookie drivers battled under hot weather conditions. For Musab Bera Akbaba, it was a breakthrough weekend — thanks to a new chassis setup that finally matched his driving style in warmer temperatures.

Qualifying – Right on the Pace

From the very first laps, Bera showed that the new chassis was a perfect fit. He delivered one of his best qualifying performances so far, setting a 51.402s lap time, just 0.061s off pole position. That incredible effort secured P2 on the grid and gave him confidence for the heats.

The Final – Podium Under Yellow Flag

The 13-lap final was shaping up to be Bera’s best race yet. Running right on the leaders’ pace, he was in position to challenge for P2. Unfortunately, a yellow flag incident neutralized the race in the closing stages, forcing the field to hold position until the chequered flag.

Bera crossed the line in P3, just 0.430s behind the winner. While the yellow flag robbed him of the chance to attack for second place, his speed proved that he had the pace to fight even higher on the podium.
