Strong Comeback for Musab Bera Akbaba in IAME Benelux Series Round 1

WJS Racing’s young talent, Musab Bera Akbaba, kicked off his IAME Benelux Series campaign with an impressive performance at Mariembourg, showing grit, consistency, and raw pace throughout the weekend.

Despite a tough start in Qualifying Practice, where an engine issue limited his performance to P13 out of 19 drivers, Bera didn’t let the setback define his weekend. Instead, he mounted a strong comeback, showcasing his racecraft and determination in both heats.

In Heat 1, Bera climbed from 13th to finish 8th, clocking a best lap of 1:03.488. He followed that up with another solid drive in Heat 2, moving up to 9th with a best lap of 1:03.562. These consistent performances set him up for a strong grid position in the final.

Starting 9th in the Final, Bera delivered his most impressive drive of the weekend. With precise overtakes and a relentless push to the front, he crossed the line in 4th place, narrowly missing out on a podium finish by just 0.040 seconds. His best lap of the weekend came in the final: 1:03.085.

With 137 points, Bera now sits 6th in the championship standings, leaving Mariembourg with momentum and confidence heading into the next round.
